Hey guys!! My name is Emily and I am so excited to be your president for the upcoming year!
My role is to oversee everything that is going on within the club, and support the wonderful group of committee and teachers, as well as ensuring each and every one of our members has the best possible experience at dance club. Can’t wait to see new and old faces back for another great year xx
Vice President: Lydia Wood (she/her)
Hey everyone! I’m Lydia and I’m the Vice President of NUDC for this year!
I’m so excited for yet another fun-filled and successful year of dancing with you all and can’t wait to be the vice pres of such a special and important club! I will be responsible for organising all of our kit, our sponsorships, and workshops - so keep your eyes peeled for some announcements soon. Can’t wait to be back boogying with you all soon!
Secretary: Heather Woodhouse (she/her)
Hi everyone, I’m Heather and I can’t wait to be back at dance next year as your secretary!
I’ll be doing lots of the background admin and working closely with the sports centre to get us all the hours we need! I’m super excited to see what our amaze teachers come up with for show and comps in 2024/25.
Treasurer: Charlotte Cleaver (she/her)
Hey, I’m Charlotte your treasurer for this year. I’ll be sorting everything to do with finances! Can’t wait to see you all in September!
Charity & Welfare Officer: Phoebe Thompson (she/her)
Hey everyone! I’m Phoebe, your Charity and Welfare Officer for this year, and I’m so excited to meet all of the newbies!
My job is to make sure we raise lots of money for our chosen charity while also making sure you’re all having the best time ever. Whether you need support, a chat, or just a friendly face to cheer you on, I’m here! Let’s make this year in NCL Dance Club the best yet! Can’t wait to get back on the dance floor with you all!
Social Secretary: Caoimhe Stenton (she/her)
Hi! I’m Caoimhe, one of the social secs this year with Lucy. We’ll be organising all the socials and hopefully making Wednesday nights this year unforgettable!
We also have some really fun ideas for sober socials, and are so excited to plan the summer and winter balls too!! Can’t wait to get back to Newcastle to party with you all!!

Heyy everyone!!! I’m Lucy and I can’t wait to organise all the socials with Caoimhe, including the winter/summer balls, sober socials and ofc the Wednesday nights out!!!
I’m so excited to see all of your costumes to the themes we’ve planned! I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again as well as welcoming new faces to another year of dancing in and out of the studios xxx
External Competition Coordinator: Sophie Taylor (she/her)
Heyy my name is Sophie and I am going to be your external competition coordinator this year!
My role is to organise what competitions we travel to throughout the season! Comp season is my FAVE part of the year, I’m so excited to get started and dance with you all!
Internal Competition Coordinator: Kate Newman (she/her)
I am this year’s dance clubs internal comp coordinator!
This means I’m in charge of organising the Newcastle Dance competition and getting lots of other unis involved! This is my favourite event of the year, so I’m so excited to be such a big part of it. I can’t wait to be involved with this years committee and I’m looking forward to another fab year of Dance club!
Show Coordinator: Maya Richardson (she/her)
Hiya, i’m maya your new showco! this will be my fourth (and final) year in dance club and i can’t wait to make it a fabulous one.
from being a shy fresher in first year to being a teacher last year i’ve tried a bit of everything in this club and am so excited to create a show for everyone to enjoy and be apart of! looking forward to dancing with you all :)))
Media Officer: Dan Finch (he/him)
Hi everyone! My name is Dan and I fully can’t wait to be your media officer this dance year!
My role will basically require me to be there for every dance event so you can expect to see my face a lot. I will be behind all our social media posts, promoting the club on campus and beyond, alongside running our YouTube channel... BUZZINGGG!
