About us
The Newcastle University Dance Club is run for students, by students. We welcome dancers of all abilities and styles, with classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Street, Contemporary, Lyrical, Musical Theatre and Limbering (strength & stretch).
We participate in competitions all across the UK, create an annual dance show, have weekly themed socials and frequent charity & welfare events!
Charity
We support a wide range of charities through exciting fundraising events, pub quizzes and socials; the charity that we are supporting this year (2023-2024) is FACT Cancer Support.
In 2022-23 we raised a grand total of £1850 through a movie night, pub quiz and our annual Newcastle Come Dancing charity event for The People’s Kitchen, which is a charity based in Newcastle which supports homeless and vulnerable people in the area.
